Here at the NYCC-mag, we like to think of ourselves as crazy (in the good way) about the stuff we buy, but as much as we’d like to, we can’t try everything. Which is why we have Best Test Reviews, in which we find the best-reviewed (that’s testing reviews, and lots of ’em) products and single out the most convincing ones.  What does all of this mean, exactly?

To be clear, the entire criteria for test inclusion is meeting the criteria of the first selection process and the second selection process and the final selection process.

The first selection process is looking at a specific category of products and collecting lots and lots of reviews from all of the review sources we can from as many sources we choose.  The criteria for the first selection process is based solely on having customer reviews of 4.0 or greater at the time the first selection process takes place.

The second selection process is the review ratings. The criteria for the second selection process is based solely on having a customer rating of 5.0 or greater at the time the second selection process takes place.

The final selection process is the product brand exclusive features.  Product brand exclusive features means the exclusive rights to manufacturer the exclusive features of the product.  The criteria for the final selection process is based solely on the brand having the exclusive rights to manufacturer the exclusive features of the product at the time the final selection process takes place.  This final selection process helps us to eliminate testing duplicate or obvious similar product features.

The test inclusion is determining the products meeting the entire criteria.  Once test inclusion have been determined, we explore into the products in the category, eliminate those that don’t meet our criteria and test those that do. We publish Best Test Reviews and add additional insight from our own writers and editors.
